So, what’s up with Ray Kurzweil lately?

To my knowledge, the last “public” appearance he made was at this Korean tech event in September 2020:

He did not have the annual forum w/ Peter Diamandis (vid below is from last year):

You can unfortunately see the onset of Kurzweil’s dementia around this time, he refers multiple times to “neural folding” (meaning to say protein folding). Furthermore, The Singularity Is Nearer has been delayed again, first to fall 2021 “due to the COVID-19 crisis”, and now debuting in the year 2022, apparently:

Perhaps the written form will once more allow Ray to be eloquent and coherent in his thought process, not being shackled by the limitations of his waning real-time conversation throughput. An optimistic view is that the COVID delay is just a cover, not due to dementia, but actually incorporating all the advancements that have happened in the interim to make the book more up-to-date (incidentally, a task that becomes harder and harder the more time that has passed).

In the past few years, there used to be at least one Kurzweil appearance every 1-2 months, but it seems to be getting more and more rare. Any thoughts as to why?
