A study of digital journalism coverage and social media postings in key Southeast Asian countries, namely Singapore, Malaysia, Indonesia, Philippines, Thailand and Vietnam from 1 October to 15 November 2020 seems to suggest that despite being hard hit by the economic downturn and restricted movement, car makers have continued to push momentum with the launches of various car models.
In this whitepaper, we set out to uncover on-the-ground discussions of the notable trends and top automotive brands in Singapore, Malaysia, Vietnam, the Philippines, Indonesia, and Thailand. We identified key trends, markets, and brands that have led mainstream media coverage and social conversations in Southeast Asia.
