Is it possible for an AI to replicate Guilty Gear Xrd’s art style in 3D by being fed hand drawn 2D anime art?

Hi, I understand that the question probably didn’t make too much sense if you aren’t familiar with this fighting game called Guilty Gear Xrd so long story short; Guilty Gear Xrd is a game made with 3D models but the 3D models were designed to simulate the look of hand drawn 2D anime styled sprites from older fighting games. However this style of animation is rarely used and so far has only been seen in Dragonball Fighterz, Granblue Fantasy versus and the upcoming Guilty Gear Strive. My question is that given the lack of samples to draw from, would it be possible to achieve a similar result by feeding the AI traditional 2D anime styled drawings? I would like to know what you all think about this subject, thanks in advance.
