I found this subreddit today. Is technology really about to burst in so many directions like everyone here talks about? And what kind of benefits or effects (or cons) would an average person feel day-to-day?

I’m a 22 year old who struggles with anxiety, weight, and a few other things. I’m wondering if any of these technologies will be affordable for the average person and be applicable to self-help and self-development. Right now my personal problems get in the way of me even working or going to school, which makes me feel like a burden to my family, which exacerbates my anxiety. A really nasty cycle. This is why I’m curious about the applications of the technologies discussed on this subreddit toward self-help.
